Advanced Recovery Solution Workshop
Learn how to maintain, tune, and troubleshoot Altiris® Recovery Solution™ software in the Advanced Recovery Solution Workshop course. This course focuses on Recovery Solution components and process flow and also includes topics such as Recovery Solution best practices and solving problems you might encounter with Recovery Solution. Advanced techniques for troubleshooting Recovery Solution and its database are the main focus of the workshop hands-on sessions. Note: Because this is an advanced course, you must have prior experience with Recovery Solution.
Course Objectives

Understand Recovery Solution enterprise design, framework, processes, and operations

Apply advanced tuning and troubleshooting techniques to Recovery Solution operations

Configure agent and collection processes

Use Recovery Solution troubleshooting methodologies and tools

Troubleshoot and maintain the Altiris database and Recovery Solution database

Solve advanced troubleshooting scenarios
PrerequiSites

Have at least three months of experience administering Recovery Solution

Have a strong understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Windows

Familiarity with networking concepts, including LANs, network adapter cards, drivers, and network operating systems

Familiarity with computer hardware components such as hubs, switches, and routers

(Optional, but recommended) Familiarity using VMware

(Optional) Have attended the Recovery Solution Fundamentals (REC-A620) online training course
