Priya Bery
As Virgin Unite’s Director of Strategy & Business Development, Priya catalyzes social businesses, partnerships and the advocacy agenda to support entrepreneurial approaches to the world’s toughest problems. With over a decade of experience working in Asia and Africa, her path shows how incredible things can happen when business, government and frontline leaders come together to deal with social and environmental crises. In 2001 she started the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria with Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke, where she was Director of Policy and Research for over 5 years. Prior to this position, she worked in Congress for U.S. Senator Carl Levin during the Clinton Administration. She has also worked on maternal and child health issues in India. In addition to her work with Tonic, Priya serves on the Advisory Board of Breakthrough TV, an international human rights organization that uses creative media as a vehicle for social change. Priya lives in Brooklyn and has a B.S. from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Policy and Management from Harvard’s School of Public Health. |
