At Macy's, Reading Is Fundamental
You're able to read this blog today because you have a foundation in reading that probably began at a young age. Macy's realizes how important it is that children start reading early on, having raised nearly $7 million in the past five years for Reading is Fundamental (RIF), a children's and family literacy organization.
Starting today through the end of August, Macy's customers will be able to do their part as well. By giving $3 to Reading is Fundamental, customers will receive a coupon for $10 off a $50 in-store purchase at any location (restrictions apply, so see store or Macys.com for details).
Those $3 will be split three ways, with $1 supporting RIF programs in the state the Macy's store is located in, $1 supporting RIF's Multicultural Literacy Campaign and $1 helping RIF's continuing nationwide efforts. Since 1966, Reading is Fundamental has helped children begin reading at an early age by delivering free books and literacy resources to them and the families who need them most.
