Beatbox with the Sounds
The Sounds are gearing up to release their second single "Beatbox" from their new album Crossing the Rubicon. The song says "Bring that beatbox back, " which is exactly what the Swedish pop-rockers are doing with a little help from their fans.
To help promote the track, the band recruited several amateur beatboxers and had them rock out to the tune. It's got dudes making funny noises, a cute girl creating a beat on her cheek and more funky dance moves than a broken Dance Dance Revolution game. And all these contributors are sliced together into an A/V mash-up that's absolutely hilarious. You can check out the minute-forty second clip below.
Who says you need a lot of money to make a great video!
Of course, this is actually just a promo piece that likely precedes a proper video, but in the meantime, the Sounds are finishing up US dates before heading over to Europe on Nov. 17. Here's hoping the band, which did a full North American tour with No Doubt earlier this year, comes back to America soon. We can always use a little more "Beatbox"!
