By Sebastian Clayton - November 21, 2008 Which of you car drivers have ever wanted to pimp your ride? With Thanksgiving just around the corner, many people will drive to see their families and friends and this new gadget will not only make you look cool, but it also reduces your carbon emissions and toxic particulate material, whilst also improving your fuel usage to save you hundreds of dollars every year on fuel. How you may ask? The Blade, by Sabertec, is a cool looking addition to your tail pipe. Simply fit it over your tail pipe (that is in good condition) and it instantly makes an impact by:
  • reducing emissions of particulate material by filtering them from the exhaust stream - in other words, it removes all those bad particles from your exhaust fumes
  • reducing emissions and improving fuel economy by decreasing the duration of "cold start" operations - the filter allows for your engine to heat up more quickly, as much as 20%, thus reducing fuel consumption
  • decreasing emissions and increasing fuel economy by increasing the Volumetric Efficiency (VE) of your engine
At a cost of only $199, the price is not prohibitive.  And, you only have to replace filters every 3,000-10,000 miles.  I believe that the Blade is a good way to green your car without buying a new hybrid. In these economically challenging times, the Blade could be a simple solution to greening up your car! Check out videos and details on Blade's YouTube site, or visit the company's offical site to see for yourself.
