Caroline Walker, Senior Editor
Caroline Walker is Tonic's Senior Editor, bringing a unique mix of entertainment and nonprofit experience to the company. Having worked in Hollyweird for several years, Caroline jumped ship to travel internationally and teach abroad. She volunteered and took jobs in India and Spain, travelled extensively overseas, and returned to the U.S. to study global affairs and human rights. Her self-designed program included extensive research on fusing art, commerce and activism.
Before joining Tonic, Caroline served as an Editor at DoSomething.org, where she oversaw the production of multimedia content designed to empower young people to take action around causes that inspire them. Bringing a charitable twist to entertainment news, she maximized on trends in pop culture to keep awareness and activism fun and accessible. She has experience creating print, online and video materials. Caroline holds a BA from University of Southern California and an MA from New York University's Gallatin School. She lives and works in New York and practices her rusty French and Spanish whenever strangers will let her and fills her spare time (what's that?) playing with the band The Carolina Law.
