C'Mon Get Yourself Some Happy

David Partridge sang about getting happy best I think:

"Hello world, here's a song that we're singin',
c'mon get happy
A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringin',
we'll make you happy."

Love does make one happy, but just in case you don't have that right now, and you do happen to have an iPhone (which could also make one very happy) you can find happiness right at the iTunes store for just $6.99 or just a little less happiness help in the free version.

And getting happy is exactly what Signal Pattern's iPhone application is all about. Called "Live Happy," it's supposedly the most comprehensive mobile happiness boosting application. Essentially it's good karma, well being and down right contentment all rolled into one, in addition to offering a personalized happiness program, goal setting help, a "big give" personality analysis, tips on how to keep a gratitude journal and how to envision your best possible self.

Whew ... that's a lot of personal introspection to tackle.

According to the iTunes description, Live Happy helps you boost your overall happiness by engaging in simple activities that have been scientifically proven to improve psychological well being.

It promotes user activities like taking a photo (to savor a moment), texting a thank-you to a friend or performing a random act of kindness.

But, where I wonder, is the directive to eat some Ben & Jerry's any day you're inclined.

Check out the video on what it's all about by clicking here. You might be interested in some other iPhone applications along similar lines such as Sleep Diary, Sleep Relaxation, aSleep Lite.

The application is based on the research of Sonja Lyubomirsky, a psychologist at the University of California, Riverside and the author of The How of Happiness.
