Fashionista Face Off: Stovetop Variety
You know how Barbra Streisand is one of those accomplished people who has proven her chops with singing, acting and directing, as well as large-scale housing remodeling projects? Yes, truly, Babs is in a class above. Do one thing and do it well? Not on her watch!
Taking a cue from the Barbra Streisand playbook, designers like Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi and Carolina Herrera, MediaBistro reports, have joined up with 100 of their fellow industry fashion foodies to strut their stuff from the kitchen for the American Fashion Cookbook (with a forward by Martha Stewart, no less). With recipes, illustrations and party-planning tips and tricks, it seems like you'd be in fashionably fabulous good company to whip up some of Zac Posen's buttterscotch wafers, or Derek Lam's yellowtail crudo, for starts.
No details on whether you must be outfitted in one of the designer's originals for your party to be a real smash success, though we're guessing this might become one of the season's parlor games for the well-heeled and fashionable: matching your dress to your recipe according to designer.
