Financial Brokers Chace Crawford and Lady GaGa?
I bet you Lady GaGa can offer great stock tips on up 'n' coming hair product companies. And that Chace Crawford could recommend a good teen magazine publisher on the rise. And after a million years on "ER," perhaps Anthony Edwards can recommend a medical supply business.
Well, people will find out tomorrow when BGC kicks off its fifth annual Sept. 11 Charity Day fundraiser. Celebs like Gary Sinise, Whoopi Goldberg, Boomer Esiason, Dr. Ruth, Charles Payne and many others will play financial broker for the day and help raise money for a whole host of charities. Several international stars will also be stationed in BGC offices around the world, from London and Paris to Hong Kong and Sydney.
I'd ideally like to get my financial advice from Michael Douglas, but since he's not participating, I'm sure "The Sopranos" Lorraine Bracco can make me an offer I can't refuse.
BGC -- whose affiliate suffered the most World Trade Center casualties -- raised a combined $23 million doing these fundraisers the past four years, including $8 million last year alone. And don't worry, each celeb will be partnered with a real broker to make sure all your money doesn't even up in Snuggies and George Forman Grills.
