Will You Marry Me and Subsequently Go on a Free Cruise?

One Harrisonburg, Virginia jeweler has an awfully good idea: get a free cruise for two with your diamond ring purchase.

Valentines Jewelry is offering this totally ingenious package through Christmas ("at the very least," representative Greg told me on the phone). If you purchase a diamond ring (like the $3,400 Beautiful 14k White Gold 1.68ct Diamond Engagement Ring at right), they'll throw in a free 8-day, 7-night Norwegian or Royal Caribbean cruise in the Caribbean — all you pay is port fees and taxes.

Now, before you go dashing to the website to buy the tiniest diamond you can find, take note: the ring has to be "14 karat gold or higher quality (18K or platinum count as higher quality) ring with a .60ct G SI2 or better diamond," according to The Perpetual Tourist. But if you're proposing with less than that, good luck (I kid, I kid).

This is an incredible money-saver for spouses-to-be. A honeymoon is no cheap affair, and with fewer and fewer parents footing the bill as tradition dictates, many couples are opting for honeymoons which are ... well, boring. And furthermore, there are more reasons to buy a diamond ring than just to propose; why not splurge on one for yourself and take your best friend on a cruise? Diva move!

Visit Valentines Jewelry or call 540-434-3899 to take advantage of this awesome deal.
