Grow a Moustache to Save the "Family Jewels"By Annie Scott | Wednesday, October 28, 2009 5:00 PM ET "November" plus "mo's" (slang for moustaches) equal Movember. This Movember, you can sport facial hair to "help change the face of men's health." Movember began in Melbourne, Australia in 2003, when a couple guys having beers were joking about 80s fashion and decided it was time to recommence "channeling the likes of Tom Selleck, Ghandi and Ron Burgundy." They managed to grow their mo's into a whole movement for supporting prostate and testicular cancer research, and Movember parties are being held all over the world for men to compete for the title of Man of Movember and raise money. So far, they've raised $47 million. This year, proceeds from American Movember parties will go to The Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. To find a party near you, visit Movember.com -- and stop shaving now. What I want to know is, can I stop shaving my legs next October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month? Fair is fair ...
