i wish that i could actually recall it, but i am told that my brother and i were deliberately seated before the tube to watch the very first episode of sesame street in 1969; i'd just turned 3.

to say that kermit, the body of jim henson's work, and this song in particular have a deeply-rooted place in my heart is to just scratch the surface of the matter. many thanks for this.
