Kate Moss' Top Shop Holiday Collection Sparkles
She of the infamous "waif" look of the early '90s, and of the notorious "Cokate" drug scandal of 2005, Kate Moss seems to always dust her diminutive self off and rise from her own cigarette ashes.
When she was busted for drugs (the Daily Mirror published photos of her allegedly doing lines of coke) a few years ago, losing fashion contracts along the way, it wasn't soon after that she was rehired for those same campaigns, and subsequently started designing a line for the U.K.-based Topshop in 2007.
It, of course, has been a smash success, and now with the wind-up to the holiday season beginning with the first smell of frost in the air, her collection for the upcoming festive time of year is being previewed. It is chic; it has pearls and studs and sparkles with the edginess innate to its designer. Black, long-sleeved mini dresses, blousy wisps of something called an "angel shirt," and the most delicious-looking dark red velvet vintage-inspired bras and knickers are just a few of the highlights.
NYMAG's fashion blog, The Cut, provides a first look at a few pieces that will debut next month. Start saving now and get ready to shine for the holidays.
Knowing what it's like to have shared a hotel room with Johnny Depp, as Moss did (again, famously, after Depp was nearly arrested for trashing it), is not included with purchase.
