Robo Garage Creates Awesome Robots

You gotta love the Japanese. They just won't stop pursuing the goal of replacing humans with robots, so they keep building more and more advanced mechanical buggers who, when you see them, you're like "Whoa, that's so like a human." Or something like that.

One company, out of Kyoto University, which continues to pump out awesome automatons is Robo Garage. You can see a video of their newest electrical dude below. Don't you just love it how something without a heart and brain can still seem like it's showing off for a crowd?

The robot's name is Ropid, and he's 38 cm high, 1600 grams, and has 30 degrees of freedom (which is more than most of us). He was created by robo designer Tomotaka Takahashi and he's constructed out of carbon and plastic. And he'll outlive and outperform anybody.

Go, Robo Life!
