Robsten Hold Hands! Hear That Sound? That's Fan Satisfaction
Life finally imitated art last night, when Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the dewy young stars of the Twilight Saga somewhat confirmed they are in some type of relationship with one another by holding hands, posted here at Usmagazine.com. Thank goodness.
The photos look like the cover of a teen romance novel:
"Rob and Kristen embraced each other, she nervous but confidently clutching his hand as they crossed the tarmac to their private jet. The destination? Paris. The City of Love. As camera flashes popped, they beamed at one another, their secret romance no longer quiet. So satisfied being young, rich and blinded by the glare of not only the peering eyes of the world, but their love"
If you can put yourself into the mindset of a lovesick teenager or middle-aged woman who lives their lives within the pages of the Twilight series — I just have to say, I'm so happy for you. Your OTP have finally publicly proclaimed their love for one another in the most delicate sophisticated manner possible: holding hands.
People crack on the edgy duo. Rob complains about being unwashed while Kristen has that nervous tic of scratching her head to avoid answering questions. But they are being cool. They are not gonna Ben and J.Lo this relationship for you. They know the costs and the potentially devastating outcome! The photos also reveal they are sweet and classy. They weren't caught snogging on the steps of a gritty nightclub, or rubbing their eyes on a swanky hotel balcony the morning after an all-night blitz. They gently cradled digits and gave each other cheeky smiles as they were swept onto the plane in the midst of New Moon promotion-mania.
I will turn off my sarcasm switch for a moment. I don't want to think that they are just doing this for marketing purposes, thought I'm sure the halls of Summit Entertainment are filled with executives doing cartwheels.
But the story with these two needed to move along at some point. The question about their relationship has been like a media choke hold on the world. Whether they were snapped on accident or that was an intended announcement to the world that they are in fact, loved up — that's to be determined.
Yay for the both of you, I say. I'm just glad we've got the closure we needed so we can go back to living our own lives.
