San Francisco is thousands of miles from the Northeast, but if you're there on Friday night, you can support still support the towns of Ithaca, New York and New Haven, Connecticut...by going to a fashion show. The Cornell Alumni Association of Northern California has organized its first fashion show, Work, Play, and Beyond, spotlighting the work of recent Ivy League grads.  Understandably, it's mostly Cornell alums, but a talented Yale grad, Bonaire Le (who created these dresses), also has some looks in the show.

Although the show's theme isn't specifically environmental, a couple of the participating designers have that focus. Stefanie Schoen, for example, uses 100% sustainable fabrics in her pieces for men and women.  And Bonaire Le 's Ephemere collection also uses sustainable materials -- and paper too! -- in its designs.

Beyond spotlighting the clothes themselves, a show like proves that, even after college ends, classmates can help each other out by banding together and working as a team. That's the team spirit!
