For the record, Tonic doesn't officially endorse deep fried butter, but we admit it does have us intrigued.

Folks at the Texas State Fair are literally bursting into spontaneous bouts of dancing after tasting this definitely not doctor-endorsed delicacy.

Chef Abel Gonzalez won the prize for most original food for this gooey treat, and even he is shocked at its popularity.

"I never had a clue that people were going to have this kind of reaction to it," Gonzalez, otherwise known as "The Fried Butter Man," told NBC 13. "I just thought hey, you know, fried butter why not?"

Now, Texans are just wondering why fried butter never made it into their mouths before. Check out this endorsement from one satisfied customer:

"It's good, it's great.

"Was it a party in your mouth?" inquired the reporter.

"Yes"

"Who was invited?"

"The grape jelly."

Makes sense. After all, most claim the treat taste like toast. (And Texans definitely love their toast.)

"I always get certain things when I come to the fair," said one unidentified fried butter customer. "A Fletcher's corn dog, funnel cake and a novelty item. So this is it."

But the best reaction by far came from an adorable toddler whose face literally lit up when he tasted the treat, and promptly rubbed his belly and started dancing.

Check out the video below. Just promise us you won't eat too much fried butter, OK? It's really not very good for you!
