With the end of June upon us (and days starting to get shorter -- yes, it's true), we are entering our final month of the Summer 2009 Tonic Positively Good Writers' Program. Our intern team represents talent from journalism programs from all parts of the globe and are helping us to deliver diverse coverage to you.

And while we still have one month left of our summer program, we are starting to plan for a new program in the fall. If you are interested in participating, please contact us at writersprogram@tonic.com. We will be sure to contact you as we prepare to launch the fall program.

Here are our editors' favorite intern stories from the past two weeks. Please read them, comment on them and support these up and coming writers.

Artists Band Together to Save Georgia Theater by Brittney McKenna

G.O.O.D. Music for a Good Cause by Lorin Williams

Come back for more! These writers are right here at Tonic every single day.
