Smile File: Christopher Walken Does Lady GagaBy Tonic Staff | Wednesday, May 20, 2009 11:03 AM ET ****** September 30 Trash The Dress! Did anyone else have a big wedding season this year? Your Smile File editor found herself involved in about six weddings over the summer months. Frankly, we're pooped. Time to celebrate the end of wedding season with some "Trash The Dress" photos! The "Trash the Dress" concept is simple. The wedding is done. You're never using the dress again, so why not create some art and kill the dress at the same time? Voila! "Trash the Dress" photos. The Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) has a whole contest for this, but here's a few of our favorites, winners from the contest, natch. Photo by: Marcin Labedski, Poland

****** September 29 Better Than The Beyonce Baby We get it. The kid twitched his leg while Beyonce put a ring on it. But this dog tap danced to Riverdance! Behold! The River Dog! Hat tip to Smile Filer Annie Scott. ****** September 28 Monday. It's Like a Swift Kick in the... Hi Smile Filers! Forgive us for being absent last week. Your editors were at the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting providing you some CGI behind-the-scenes action with dollops of snark, natch. Fear not, we're back! It's Monday, so we're groggy. We'll keep this Smile File short. We know the following video — of Meredith Viera kicking Matt Lauer where the sun don't shine — happened last week during our CGI time off, but we're loving it anyway. We love it mostly because Matt Lauer's face looks like we feel as we head into work today.
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy ****** Advances In Bacon September 22 Forgive your Smile File editors for being absent Monday — we were in transit to NYC to attend the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting. In fact, as we write, we're cold chillin' in the press room thinking fondly of the bomb-sniffing security dog we met outside. A very sweet chocolate lab. While we wait for CGI to kick-off, you can read our Clinton Global Initiative coverage en total, or you can come with us as we mentally wander to our happy place: advances in bacon. Today's Smile File comes courtesy Smile Filer Ben and fancy blog ThinkGeek, for they have discovered the ultimate: Bacon Salt. As you know we're big fans of anything bacon-related, so this just tops off our happy spot. We're pretty sure some of the attendees at CGI will frown at us for celebrating a culprit in making America fat (we're looking at you Ashton), but we care not. We will eat a salad after we have our fries topped off with bacon salt. And then go for a run. And drink a bottle of water. So there. ****** September 18 Bill Clinton Is Batman Jon Stewart says so, so it must be true. I didn't see a cape, but whatever. The ex-Prez was on "The Daily Show" talking about everything (including the North Korea/journalist rescue, hence the Batman comment). The topic closest to our heart at Tonic is the Clinton Global Initiative. Your Smile File editors will be attending the do-gooder conference and we can't think of a better way of introducing the topic than have the man himself do the honors. Video one: Bubba explains what the heck the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting is. Video two: The rest of the funny stuff, including the Batman reference and what the heck is going on with health care. Enjoy.
****** September 16 Tempting as it was to share one of the bazillion Obama/Kanye "Jackass" remix videos floating around the interweb today, it seemed far more important to introduce you to an art you may have heretofore been missing out on. Behold: the teapot blow. Breathing life into "I'm a Little Teapot," eager readers flew from their desks yesterday to take part in one blogger's call to action, soliciting photos of skilled (and not so skilled) contest participants who prefer a more intimate connection to the soothing ritual of tea time. See the full photo gallery here -- and a big thanks to Geeks Are Sexy for the new distraction we're determined to master.

September 15 I've Had The Time Of My Life We know you're heard your fill of "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" quotes by now, so we won't go there. But it is Smile File tradition to pay tribute to fallen 80s heroes by celebrating their funniest moments in this space. To honor Patrick Swayze, we give you a Saturday Night Live sketch where he and Chris Farley audition to be Chippendale dancers. Enjoy. (Note: The video host has turned off the embed function -- click here for the video.)
****** September 14 Kanye's PSA: Don't Drink, Kids Jesus walks, but Kanye drinks. If you were living under a rock last night, you didn't see Kanye West make a fool out of himself (yet again) at MTV's Video Music Awards. (Seriously, if you didn't see him interrupt a 17-year-old's acceptance speech to extol the virtues of Beyonce's booty shaking, you can see it here.) Naturally, the Internet is abuzz this morning on what could possibly make Kanye act like such a fool beyond, you know, that he always does something dumb in public. Our friends at BuzzFeed have the answer: He polished off a bottle of Hennessey before the show. That's a lot of alcohol, my friends. BuzzFeed does a breakdown of the whole shebang: red carpet all the way to the embarrassing moment. But we think this picture tells the tale:
Thanks for the PSA, Louis Vuitton Don. *Note: The founder of Tonic says it's OK to say "dumb ass" on Tonic. I did ask. :)

Weird Al is a gold-star, world champion goof. Love that guy and the fact that he's still out and about, having such big zany musical fun with it all. Terrific find.
