Giving Sales a Boost

This holiday season isn’t going to be easy for many retailers. So they’re pulling out all the stops.

Big box retailers like Target and WalMart are slashing toy prices. Some shoe stores like Steve Madden are handing out coupons.

Meanwhile, lingerie purveyor Victoria Secret is trying to, um, enhance sales the best way they know how.

The Associated Press reports that everyone’s favorite underwear shop is relying on its new Miraculous Bra to boost sales this Christmas. The bra, released this fall, has already done pretty well. And we can see why: it is said to boost breasts by about two sizes. But it doesn't come cheap. Solid colors go for $48. Leopard print is even pricier, at $52.

Analysts are applauding the move saying the company looks better than ever. We're applauding the company, too — for knowing how to monetize its best asset.
