The Illustrated Investor

Dora the Explorer can teach your kids to count. Yo Gabba Gabba will help them sing. And now Warren Buffett will turn them into shrewd investors?

CNBC reports that as part of a new AOL cartoon Web series called "The Secret Millionaires Club," the famed Berkshire-Hathaway investor will voice the animated version of himself. In the series, Buffett acts as a mentor to a team of young investors, teaching kids the basics like how to spot a product worthy of your money.

The revered "Oracle of Omaha" says he wants to help kids develop healthy financial habits — like avoiding investments that seem too good to be true and watching out for credit cards. "Good investing habits should be learned early," Buffett said. "If they learn those things the easy way through these stories early on, it may save them learning it the hard way later on."

If only this were a Saturday morning staple for bankers before the market meltdown.
