A: Tonic is a media and ecommerce site focused on effortless activism and social good, dedicated to making it easy for people to do good things. At Tonic.com, you can read about all kinds of informative, inspiring, and empowering "good" news, and interact with various causes and other people to help do good things around the world. Tonic also hosts the Tonic Shop, a store where you can buy high-quality, fashion-forward clothing and accessories that are responsibly made, in that they support a cause, are eco-friendly, and are made with fair trade and fair labor practices.

Music Rising is a campaign that was launched to rescue the musical culture of the central U.S. gulf region of the United States from the destruction caused by the catastrophic hurricanes of the summer of 2005 by replacing the musical instruments lost or destroyed in the deluge. It was created in November of 2005 by The Edge, Bob Ezrin and Henry Juszkiewicz with inaugural partners Gibson Musical Instruments, Guitar Center Music Foundation, MusiCares and Musicians Friend. Through these partners' generous contributions of money and time - along with the contributions of many other wonderful individuals and organizations - Music Rising was able to provide replacement instruments to 2,700 professional musicians from the Central Gulf region many of whom had been displaced to over 34 states.

A: Yes. We love people from other countries.

 

Q. I've won the auction! What happens next?

A: A representative of Kompolt will contact you via email or phone to congratulate you, as well as confirm the payment amount and payment instructions. Payment must be in U.S. funds and received within three (3) business days of the close of the auction.

 

Q. What are the accepted methods of payment?

A: PayPal and bank wire transfer.

 

Q. Will a receipt be provided?

A: Yes, a receipt for the final bid amount paid will be provided by Kompolt.

 

Q. Is there sales tax?

A: Residents of the state of California will pay sales tax of 7.75% for any tangible items purchased.

 

Q. Is this purchase tax deductible?

A: Good question. Please contact your personal tax advisor for the answer.

 

Q. How are items shipped and what does it cost?

A: Shipping costs will be borne by the winning bidder. Unless otherwise stated in the auction listing, all items are shipped via Federal Express. Winning bidders must provide a physical address, phone number, and signature for delivery. Sorry, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes. Barring unanticipated circumstances and/or any special fulfillment conditions stated in the above description, the expected delivery time is 3-4 weeks after final payment is received and acknowledged.

International winners (outside of the United States) are also responsible for any/all customs, VAT (value added tax), duties, fees, tariffs, etc. which may be assessed and due upon delivery of item (in addition to international shipping costs). Seller cannot pre-determine any fees and is not responsible for these additional costs.
