Aging: How Young You Really Are

"I don't think old," is what the gorgeous lady who just celebrated her 100th says about aging. Jezebel picked up the AP story on the 100-years-young Astrid Thoenig, who attributes a good mindset (not feeling or thinking old) to her youthful vitality. The fact that she still works, as she has for the past 30 years, at her family's insurance company (Thornton Insurance Co. in New Jersey) has probably helped too.

And to see her photo, you'll think she's definitely onto something with that mentality. Avon/Oil of Olay/Creme de la Mer has got nothing on this woman.

She was still driving up to age 98, and her son, John Thornton, at 67-years-old is wondering who will retire first, he or his mother.

It's a great testament to the power of the mind: keep it active, keep yourself active and hope for the best. In Koenig's case, that and a beaming smile to match her just as bright attitude will hopefully see her through to her next 100 years.
