Animals Find Homes in Chile and Teen Girls Find Hospitals in Australia

Elijah Wood who is best know for playing the character of Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, is an animal lover when he's not escaping from the Dark Lord Sauron.
As you know, Chile suffered from a devastating 8.8 magnitude earthquake on Feb. 27 where many people were injured, several died and innumerable homes were destroyed. In a disastrous mix of an earthquake it's easy to forget about the furry little friends that grace our lives whom we learn to know and love. Wood was invited to visit Chile by Jorge Yarur, founder of the Yarur Bascuñán Foundation. The organization rescues and homes abandoned pets — Wood could not refuse the voyage down south being the animal lover that he is.
Wood tells Monsters and Critics, “I am interested in Jorge’s organization. I’m interested in getting involved, because I love animals. I have three dogs, and grew up with dogs and cats. It’s just a humanitarian act. I like the initiative. As a human being I am interested in the welfare of animals and people. There are many dogs in the streets that are without protection. This is the first foundation I have participated in.”
Wood also explains here in this short video chip why he decided to go to Chile and help the organization.
This Pussycat Plans to Start a Camp

Pop star Nicole Scherzinger's heart goes out to those who suffer from Down syndrome so much that she is planing to start her own charity camp!
The plan is to team up with LA radio personality and founder of Reality Cares, Todd Michael Krim, to help give kids an opportunity to learn music. The Pussycat Doll's heart is near and dear to the the cause because her aunt lives with Down syndrome.
Scherzinger tells Look to the Stars, "I grew up with my aunt, who is actually younger than me because my grandmother had her at an older age, and she has Down syndrome. She has always had a special place in my heart and is such a wonderful addition to our family, so when Todd asked me if I was passionate about any charities or causes, I immediately thought of her.”
As of right now the music camp is just a plan, but we sincerely hope that Scherzinger follows through because it's a beautiful idea.
Out of the Gutter: Justin Bieber

Bieber. Usually you're nowhere near the gutter according to most females between the ages of 4-14. Actually, I think they would put you somewhere very high in the sky, like heaven. But Bieber! What the hell happened in Australia?! Huffington Post reports that while trying to enter the performance venue where the concert was being held, eight girls ended up in the hospital, 10 fainted and several more were injured. Who are you? Elvis or the Beatles? You're only 16-years-old and probably still a virgin, or at least you look like you should be. You're cute Bieber, but you really gotta stop sending 2-year-old's into wild crying fits and 12-year-old's to the hospital — and everyone else into rehab. Cool it you heartthrob you!
Cute Couple of the Day
Hunk Josh Hartnett was spotted in a dark corner of a New York City hot spot with Ryan Phillippe's recent ex-girlfriend, Abbie Cornish. Their Saturday night date may lead to more but it's hard to say at this point. Word on the street says (and this is not from personal experience of course) Hartnett is a bit of a womanizer so the question mark for their future is a big one. This couple is cute because anyone in a dark corner with Pearl Harbor hottie Hartnett is cute. So therefore they're cute. We love spring budding romances!
Paulo Coelho: Don't analyze people. The easiest way to help them is to assume they're not loved and love them.
