Bowling Green

The Brooklyn Bowl is redefining the idea of "rolling green."

This new Williamsburg establishment, set to open in just a matter of days, is about to become the eco-friendly party spot for Brooklyn locals and anyone visiting the trendy borough. Located in a 19th-century building, the Bowl imagines Lucky Strike transplanted to Coney Island with a hipster indie-rock crowd. If the décor alone doesn't "bowl" you over, the high-tech setup definitely will: 16 bowling lanes, a Blue Ribbon restaurant, a lounge, a 35-foot-wide live music stage, an elevated DJ booth and a complete HD audio-visual system throughout.

Better still, it's the first LEED-certified bowling venue ever. Brooklyn Bowl is 100 percent wind-powered, only serves local Brooklyn beers on tap, serves no cans or bottles, and features 30+ capacity bike racks. The various floors and stages are made from reclaimed wood and recycled truck tires, and the venue planted 16 new trees around the space. It doesn't get much greener than that!

Open late every night of the week, the Brooklyn Bowl is located at 61 Wythe Ave. between N. 11th and 12th.
