The Change your world: Initiative
i was walking down the streets in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and found this amazing kid surrounded by a BIG group of young people doing something extraordinary, and we are talking about a third world country where the word gay is still a sign of extreme depravation. i have to say i was kind of surprised for this kind of initiatives and even more in the world we live in today were trust is not a word you have in the front of your face and even less in the face of a total stranger. When i approached the group they were getting together for something they called "the gay+straight alliance for brotherhood" and while spending some time with these kids i was amazed of the positive spirit, and brave attitude and even more by the diligence of its leader a young unafraid activist; a kid with less than 23 years old fighting for a change and for the alliance of many different types of people to show the world at the end we are all the same.. and why not, a free hug is well received in the meanwhile. i say BRAVO! for this type of actions, bit by bit this world can be a safer place. "what makes us different is also what bring us all together!
