Chelsea Clinton Engaged

Chelsea Clinton, 29, has announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, the Associated Press reports. The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton announced the news in late November and said she'll probably be setting a date for next summer.

The union will joins two political powerhouse families, though each not without its dubious past. Marc is the son of former Pennsylvania Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and former Iowa Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, who have long been friends with the Clinton family. The young people can bond over their families' scandals; we all know about Clinton, but perhaps you didn't know that Ed Mezvinsky has served time in federal prison for bank and wire fraud. He was released last year.

The couple met in their teenage years and both went to Stanford University. They currently reside in New York, where Mezvinsky is an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Clinton is a graduate student at Columbia University's School of Public Health.
