Chris Isaak Does a Good, Good Thing

Tomorrow night at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, singer-actor Chris Isaak will host the star-studded All For the Hall Los Angeles event to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The night will include a special "guitar pull" in which Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakam, Melissa Etheridge and others will perform together telling tales and swapping songs and stories (a la Johnny and June Carter Cash back in the day). Isaak will also perform at the Thursday night event.

The Country Music Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit organization "dedicated to saving America's songs of home for the benefit of all mankind." Monies raised from the event will help the Hall produce exhibits, publications and other programs to teach audiences about the cultural significance of music.

Isaak, who first broke big with "Wicked Game" and "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing," is a multi-genre artist who's heavily embraced by country music fans. He's also put his stage chops to the test as an actor ("Silence of the Lambs," "That Thing You Do!") and TV host ("The Chris Isaak Show," "The Chris Isaak Hour" over the years. His last album, "Mr. Lucky," was released last February.
