Monkey Business
It looks like "Genie in a Bottle" is getting uncorked on Internet radio.
Christina Aguilera is one of three major artists set to debut a personal online radio station next month on a.p.e. radio. A joint venture between Clear Channel Radio and Front Line Management, a.p.e. is a new digital platform where the artists themselves select the music and create original content like interviews and storytelling. Fans can expect everything from new single debuts to special live tracks to a continuous stream of greatest hits.
Apparently what a girl wants is Christina 24/7.
The Grammy-winning singer isn't the only star receiving her own a.p.e. ("artist personal experience") station. The Eagles and Weezer will also receive their own stations on the digital dial, and more artists' stations will be released soon.
These stations will be featured on Clear Channel's digital "iheartradio" and included on the artists' websites. The exact launch date will be announced soon.
