No longer just for browsing the Internet or taking quick snapshots, tech-savvy smartphones such as the iPhone are able to test your hearing, cure acne and even help women conceive, thanks to over 2000 health-related phone apps currently downloadable, reports Britain’s The Times.

The future may even revolutionize the health-care system as scientists are working towards a level of such advanced technology that not only will the apps diagnose a patient's health condition but it will also deliver medication through monitors on or inside our body, transmitting crucial health information to our doctors.

While that’s all mind-boggling to say the least, one woman from Scotland is simply grateful for her newborn daughter, conceived with help from yep you guessed it, a fertility app. After trying for a baby for four years, Lena Bryce downloaded the ‘Fertility Friend’ app on her iPhone and used the information to predict when she was most fertile. Within two months, Bryce was pregnant.
