'Dallas' Oil Man Goes Solar

The actor who once played the conniving oilman J.R. Ewing on the soap opera Dallas is now promoting a new kind of energy. The German company SolarWorld recently tapped Larry Hagman as their spokesman, and he'll be soon appearing in nationwide television commercials touting the benefits of solar power.

"When affordable oil gives out, we're in real trouble — I mean the collapse of civilization, within 15 to 20 years," Hagman told The Oregonian.
