David and Victoria Beckham Design T-Shirts for Charity

davidbeckham.jpgEngland's most fashionable couple are spearheading this year's Sport Relief campaign, which highlights ordinary people doing extraordinary things in the area of sports. Every member of the Beckham clan, including their three sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, joined in the effort and designed a unique t-shirt that will be availble in two select stores in the U.K., as well as in the campaign's online shop (great news for us Americans who want to get our hands on the merch).

Speaking about his involvement in the campaign, the famous footballer remarked: "Victoria and I are excited to be involved with Sport Relief again this year. Our family had a great time designing the T-shirt range and we hope it will raise much needed funds for many important causes. The most important thing is that the money raised will make a genuine difference to people's lives."

All net profits from the sale of the shirts will go toward Comic Relief, Sport Relief's sister charity, which "transforms the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world’s poorest countries." Sport Relief 2010's fundraising efforts will highlight three main causes: "children who live on the streets or work in dangerous conditions, people affected by malaria and local UK projects."

In addition to the Beckhams' involvement, many other British celebrities are joining the Sport Relief 2010 campaign. Little Britain star David Wailliams will be cycling the entire length of the UK (he previously swam the English Channel to raise money for the charity), and comedian Eddie Izzard will be running several marathons all over England. To donate to Sport Relief or purchase a Beckham-designed t-shirt, head over to the organization's website.
