Do Something, Like Eating an Ice Cream Cone
Nothing quite says summertime like a cold, refreshing ice cream cone. And this summer, teens can enjoy one for free at Baskin-Robbins. What do they need to do in exchange? Simply volunteer to make a difference for the cause of their choice.
The freebie comes courtesy of a partnership between the ubiquitous ice cream brand and Do Something, the nonprofit that encourages teen volunteerism. All teens need to do is sign up at DoSomething.org/Serve and they'll receive an email coupon for a vanilla soft-serve cone at a participating branch of Baskin-Robbins across the country.
What if your teen is only interested in texting, tv and video games? The Do Something folks have loads of ideas of how to make a difference on their website, from local causes to international issues like malaria prevention and the situation in Darfur.
Anyone up for serving ... and a cone full of soft serve?
