Dolly Parton Is a Rainbow
For a character as colorful as Dolly Parton, calling your first children's book I Am a Rainbow, makes perfect sense. The book encourages children to talk about their feelings (are you tickled pink? feeling blue? green with envy?).
The music legend has never been one to hold back on her own feelings — some might say she's got a lot to get off her chest — but Dolly will always get the last laugh with her classic one-liners. This is what she said recently about penning the book to Time magazine:
"Children have always responded to me because I have that cartoon-character look. I'm over-exaggerated and my voice is small and my name is Dolly and I'm kind of like a Mother Goose character."
Forget about what you've seen on FOX, because Dolly Parton is a real American idol.
