At Last, a Solar Tennis Racquet Cover!

At last -- a backpack with built-in laptop charger, a handbag that can keep your iPod singing and a tent that can keep you warm even in the freezing cold.

It's about time.

According to a press release from G24 Innovations, these "consumer on the go" products will shortly be available in your local boutique, thanks to an innovation called the "dye-sensitised solar cell." The technology, originally developed in Switzerland, is a light-weight, bendable solar charger.

What will the new solar enabled accessories look like?

According to the press release, G24 is co-operating with Hong Kong-listed Mascotte Holdings, which makes bags for many global brands of electronics, sport and leisure accessories.

So far, Mascotte hasn't produced anything to rival Chanel or Gucci. But its camera bags, backpacks and messenger bags are tres chic.

And its golf and tennis bags -- capable of charging up your... whatever it is you want to charge up before you hit the ball -- are really to die for.

Snap one up before everyone has one!
