eBay WTF of the Day - The Rose is Not For Sale

This barrette is for sale.

I have two problems with this auction. Can you guess what they are? 10 points each!

1. The barrette is on a rose.

2. I can't see the barrette.

How many points did you get?

This is the only picture provided. I can't see the clasp of the barrette or the left side of it. WTF? Whose idea was it to hide the barrette in a gold-tinged fake rose from Joann Fabrics?

I like that the barrette (reportedly) says PTA 1948 on it. That's cool. I like the Parent Teacher Association just fine. Is PTA supposed to stand for something else? That's all I think of ... and suddenly it strikes me as odd that the Parent Teacher Association would be giving out hairclips. In sterling silver. And I would like to join, though I am neither parent nor teacher.

So ... if you have $9 and are willing to take a leap of faith, this is the Parent Teacher Association barrette for you. WTF?
