For Sale: The Queen’s Personal Jaguar
While upgrading your car to something a little snazzier is nothing unusual, when the Queen pops off to her local car dealership, it tends to catch ones eye.
According to Sky News, HRH Queen Elizabeth II of England has decided to sell her trusty Jaguar Daimier Majestic which she drove herself as a personal car, for over three years. The bespoke vehicle, which still has all of the original features, such as redesigned armrests to accommodate the Queen's signature handbags and a hidden panel of security lighting, is expected to sell for approximately $100,000. A description of the vehicle states: "This was the Queen's personal car which she drove herself to visit friends and traveling to more low profile official events. This beautiful Royal car is an opportunity to own a serious and rare collectors car having had 1 very special and careful lady driver." Yep, it's certainly special and no doubt one-of-a-kind, but what sort of customer will it attract?
Seller Peter Radcliffe said the vehicle would likely become the prized possession of a motor collector. "Nothing in the car has been changed from when it was owned by Her Majesty. It is totally unique," he said, adding: "I expect this will be bought by a Jaguar enthusiast. I hope that the miles are kept down and it isn't used on a daily basis but it's really up to the person that buys it."
Start practicing that royal wave now!
