Free Shakira!

Shakira is on the prowl.

No, she's obviously not a cougar, but the "Hips Don't Lie" star will make like it's a full moon on Sunday night when she debuts her new single "She Wolf." Starting at 7 p.m. EST on July 12, the song will be available on the ABC Music Lounge website as a free download, but don't be a laggard. The free track will only be available until Monday the following night.

Written and produced by Shakira and John Hill, "She Wolf" is the first single from the singer's English-language album coming in October. An already-released Spanish-language version, "Loba," cracked the Hot Latin Songs chart this week. Though this album will feature a few Spanish-language tracks, a full Spanish disc will follow in 2010.

As part of the promotion, ABC will integrate the singer's music into its various platforms and outlets, though no other specifics were given. The Colombia-born star is also promoting the single with a viral campaign, notably the She Wolf Hunter website.

A noted philanthropist, Shakira celebrated her 32nd birthday last February by opening a $6 million school in her hometown of Barranquilla through her Pies Descalzos Foundation (which she founded 14 years ago). Earlier this year, she was honored as People En Español's "Humanitarian of the Year."
