Get a Grilled Cheese Tat: There's a Discount in it For You
If you're a fan of grilled cheese, tats and bargains, then you better plan to get inked and head to Melt Bar and Grilled.
The Cleveland-area eatery is offering a 25 percent discount to anyone who comes in with a grilled cheese sandwich tattoo. That's because, as you can guess, folks at the Melt Bar really, really, love their grilled cheese.
"Our signature sandwiches sell the best," owner Matt Fish told FOX 8 in Cleveland. "We do a potato and cheese pierogi sandwich called the Parmageddon, which sells really well. We do a sandwich called the Big Popper which is our take on the jalapeno popper."
Regarding the tats, Melt Bar teamed up with Voodoo Monkey Tattoo in Cleveland and is offering a sweet deal that is definitely not cheesy.
"Anybody that does get a Melt tattoo, we take $25 off the price of the tattoo, just for the promotion," said tattoo artist John Forgus. "I actually did one of Popeye holding a grilled cheese instead of a spinach can and a couple of angels."
Overall, Fish laid out the rather loose requirements for the deal: We ask people to take our core logo and kinda change it around, make it something personal to them." (Hence Popeye, et. al.)
And the grilled cheese gurus realize that a tattoo is with you for life, which is exactly why anyone who gets inked can take advantage of the discount forever.
Better yet, the tattoo promotion doesn't expire, so feel free to wait to get inked until after you see grandma at Christmas.
