Go to the Gym ... and Don't Forget Your Old Clothes
Going to the gym has plenty of benefits — better health, improved physique, instant natural stress relief — and now the folks at Equinox Fitness have added a few more items to the list. Throughout the month of July, bring your gently used (but not stinky or frayed) workout wear to The Shop section of any Equinox and get 20 percent off your purchase. Everything you bring in will be donated to a local charity. In one easy step, you can help people in need and pick up some chic summer goodies at a great price.
If you think that all you'll find at a gym shop is swimming goggles and extra-tight jogging shorts, think again: Equinox's Shop carries brands like Havaianas, Vince and Splendid, so it's easy to pick up pieces you'll want to wear way after your spinning class has ended. There's still the performance wear you'd expect too, so if all you want is a fifth off a new pair of yoga pants, that's also an option.
And even though Equinox's Shops are either inside or adjacent to its gyms, this offer applies to non-members too. So clean out your "clothes to work out in" drawer, go shopping, and help people in need. A Pilates class afterward is strictly optional.
