Google Puts New Polish on Chrome

The latest browser news this week is from Google, which put out its 16th version of the application Chrome in debuting the v.3 version.

The update, which comes a little over a year after the software's arrival, offers faster loading when it comes to surfing, quicker and easier search function, and claims to run Web apps faster than ever, according to a Google Chrome news page.

On the same page, users can get lots of information about the technology that went into development, a video of developers who worked on the effort and the process that was behind the new features, and experiments used in developing Chrome.

And of course, to keep up on all things Chrome, check out Google's blog page as well. There you'll learn that the improved software features a 150 percent boost in Javascript performance over the beta version, as well as a refreshed New Tab page design.

Google's just continuing to deliver on its promise last September to offer a more modern platform for those who spend lots of time working inside a browser environment

Apple fans don't despair. While Chrome is purely Windows friendly right now, Google promises that a Mac version is coming very soon.
