AIDS Takes a Hit from Gym Class

Gym Class Heroes' vocalist Travis McCoy is a special ambassador to the Staying Alive Foundation, MTV's charity for AIDS and HIV awareness, and he recently wrote a song to raise funds for grassroots awareness programs. The song "One at a Time," which he penned after a 10-day global trek on behalf of the Foundation, will be released through iTunes on World AIDS Days (Dec. 1). The track will be available on other digital outlets a week later and proceeds will naturally benefit the Foundation.

"This track comes straight from the heart," says McCoy, pictured here with his group. "It encompasses everything that I saw and felt on the trip. I met some amazing and inspiring young people — and this track is dedicated to them and their tireless and selfless commitment to the fight against HIV and AIDS. I just hope that it'll inspire other out there to get involved in whatever way they can."
