Happy National Doodle Day!

gillian_anderson.jpgWhether it’s stars, hearts, flowers, or maybe something more creative, everyone finds themselves doodling from time to time and celebrities are no exception. So in honor of National Doodle Day in the UK today, hundreds of celebrities have offered to share their personal doodles to raise money for Epilepsy Action as well as the Neurofibromatosis Association.

According to Sky News, over 300 famous folk put pen to paper for the project including Gillian Anderson (at left), Michael Sheen and Sir Ben Kingsley, whose sketches were all analyzed by various graphologists. Whilst Sheen is a ‘perfectionist’ and Anderson’s sketch shows a ‘organized feel’, Dev Patel multi-tasked on his charitable contribution by drawing a tree with smiley faces to highlight his personal passion — global warming (below right).dev_patel_2.jpg

The doodle auction event is in its seventh year and with over 1000 celebrity doodles to its name, the event has raised nearly $280,000 for the two worthy charities. So, if you fancy owning a one-of-a-kind celebrity sketch, go to the National Doodle Day website and get bidding as the auction is already live!
