Hardee's Makes it Happen
Having spent most of my life in Hawaii and California, I've never been to a Hardee's, which is a shame, because they're apparently famous for their biscuits, one of my favorite foods. Hardee's loss was Kentucky Fried Chicken's gain, it seems.
Beginning next week, Hardee's is road-tripping through the Midwest and South, donating money to residents and local charities. According to this PR Newswire press release, the Hardee's "Making It Happen" Tour SUV (at right) will visit 66 Hardee's locations in five states.
This is the tour's second year and Hardee's will be giving away $25,000 total. This year's recipients include a youth development program in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and a 6-year-old with mitochondrial disease from Chatham, Ill. Also receiving money is the Marine Women's Association in Jeffersontown, Ky. Along with those donations, Hardee's will offer guests free food samples and other giveaways at each stop the SUV makes.
To find out if the tour is stopping near you, visit your local Hardee's. Or if you want to follow the tour virtually, Hardee's has you covered, be it on Twitter, Facebook, or Flickr.
