'Heroes' Creator Asks You to Join His Conspiracy For Good

boy reading

Fantasy meets reality meets giving in this new online and mobile social benefit storytelling experience. In the first platform of its kind, Heroes creator Tim Kring, and Nokia, offer an interactive immersion into a plot line, giving you a chance to become the hero.

Instead of simply watching a work of fantasy on television, Conspiracy for Good invites you to jump in and become part of the tale, eventually manipulating the outcome and making the world a better place. Coming together in this interactive form of storytelling are thinkers, creators and causes, all working together to save the day against real-world social and environmental injustices.

Once you become an unmember and begin to watch the video blogs, secrets are unveiled, codes appear that need to be broken and clues send you to vast and far reaches of the Internet.

Along the way, the narrative begins to intertwine fiction and reality by blending adventures with opportunities to do good in the real world. The list is a collection of third parties waiting to offer their services, helping you to become the glorious hero, saving the world one good deed at a time.

On Thursday, Room to Read and the Pearson Foundation joined the list of real-life protagonists. Together with Nokia, Room to Read will establish five libraries in Zambia and also fund an education for 50 girls. The Pearson Foundation adds another element of good with the launch of We Give Books. Every time a site visitor reads an online children's e-book, the foundation will donate a physical copy of the book to the new libraries in Zambia.

"I believe that storytelling has the power to create positive change in the world," said Kring in a Nokia press release. "Audiences today want to be more involved in stories. Our goal with the Conspiracy For Good is to entice, engage, and inspire the audience to drive real-world change through their participation in a narrative."
