Mom Alert: Time to State Your Pride Online

Heads up, working moms, a Web site wants you to take two minutes to describe yourself as the "hybrid" female you are and celebrate what it's like to be a woman, a mom and a human of many talents. Moms from the state boasting the most participation will be guests at a special party in their honor.

It's being run by Hybrid Mom, a site dedicated to celebrating women who wear lots of hats in their daily lives. The goal is to inspire pride among fellow females of many talents.

The statements are uploaded to the site and shared with other visitors to inspire them to share their pride in being a woman, and a mom, of many talents.

According to the press statement, the founders and staff of Hybrid Mom will travel to the winning state and host a special party event for their new friends that will include food, drink and entertainment.

The “State Your Pride” contest runs through October 31 and the winning state will be announced on November 3.

Not sure if you qualify as a "hybrid mom" or wondering how to identify one next time you're at the mall, in the elevator or at a coffee house? You are an official Hybrid Mom, according to the Web site, if you have ever:

Owned a purse that functions as a diaper bag, laptop case, tote and/or contains both a cell phone and some stray Cheerios.Prayed that your mute button is not broken while on a conference call.Had a great idea for a business, but no clue what to do with it.Worked from a local coffeehouse to have more peace and quiet then at the home office.Had to make the choice between a big meeting and a little league game.Thought "balance" is overrated, yet strived for some form of it each day.

And, as one who qualifies, let me kick in just a few more. Hybrid moms are those who use the hours between 11pm and 3am for any of the following: laundry, bill paying, online Christmas shopping, shaving legs, typing a 9-year-old's book report, ironing your better half's work clothes and looking for the hamster that went missing after dinner.

Yes, we certainly deserve a little celebration now and then.
