Ingredients for Peace: The Cookbook

cookbookofpeace.jpgMia Farrow makes pancakes every day. And every day she uses her secret ingredient: vinegar.  She says that it makes them fluffy.

You can find out for yourself by making her recipe "Mia's Awesome Pancakes" found in Ingredients for Peace a new cookbook with recipes by the likes of Farrow and over 60 other Nobel Peace Prize laureates and activists.

Nobel Peace prize winner Jody Williams (1997) and her stepdaughter, Emily Goose self-published the cookbook, half the sales of which will go to the Nobel Women's Initiative, which supports women working for peace globally, USA Today reports.

Beside's pancakes, there are recipes for such things as Bourbon Apple Pie, Eve Ensler's Activist Pasta, Desmond Tutu's chicken.

One would imagine that should there be another edition with the newest Nobel winner, Barack Obama, that the dish might call for what has become his signature: arugula.

For now, you can order the book and cook like the activists by going on Lulu.com or Amazon.com where the books should be available in mid-December.

Happy (and peaceful) cooking!
