Inside & Out: Selita Ebanks

With just 48-hours to go until Selita Ebanks takes her turn on this season's Celebrity Apprentice, we can think of no woman more befitting for Tonic's good-looking good soul of the week. The Victoria's Secret model is dead set on winning. And, if enthusiasm for her cause is any indication of what's to come, our money's on her.
Ever since traveling to Sierra Leone in 2008, the already active philanthropist decided to step it up a few notches and quickly got involved in advocating for the children of the impoverished country. Her first point of business entailed getting involved with Shine on Sierra Leone, and then she founded a subsidiary called the Women's Coalition for Empowerment and Opportunities (WCEO). Although she told Tonic earlier that she bonded with her opponents, it's on behalf of these organizations that she intends to take down the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Bret Michaels, Holly Robinson Peete and Sharon Osbourne. If Ebanks wins, $250,000 will go toward building schools and educating girls in war-torn Sierra Leone.
Advocating on behalf of children is nothing new for the 27-year-old. The Cayman Islands native spent part of her childhood in Staten Island, NY. Ebanks' family struggled financially and after her own experience in the foster care system, she's for many years given back through New Yorkers for Children. The nonprofit supports Children's Services, working to provide foster kids with necessary additional resources. She spends time sharing her challenges and wisdom with kids, encouraging them to stay positive and keep fighting for their dreams.
Ebanks could easily kickback and breeze through life on the wings of her physical beauty. But this Angel radiates from within, and seems to get far greater joy out of helping others than any modeling gig could ever bring.
