Jessica Simpson Sees a Silver Lining

Monday Morning Quarterbacking not needed, a report has confirmed this morning that Jessica Simpson was indeed dumped by Tony Romo the night before her 29th birthday.

Timing couldn't have been more imperfect as the singer was planning a Barbie-themed birthday soiree for this past weekend. But the expectation of weeping and theatrics was not going to get this Southern Belle down by any means, she took to Twitter just before the news was broken that she and her Dallas Cowboy were indeed kaput.

Judging by what she's tweeted, she's not turning to the social network to grieve the end of her two year romance:

Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace- @jessicasimpson

Many things can be said about Jessica Simpson, but she takes her knocks and keeps on going. While various outlets are reporting that Romo was having quite the Hollywood weekend, it appears that Jessica spent time close to her family and friends for support.

Just like a cat, she lands on her feet every single time. She can only emerge from this wiser and better equipped for the next gentleman she can make sweet music with. Anyway, what kind of guy dumps a girl the day before her birthday? You can do better Jess!
