Kathy Griffin Tells It Like It Is

Love her or hate her, you have to hand it to Kathy Griffin for getting her point across. She takes aim at some of the boldest-face names around with nary a worry for the repercussions. In fact, she almost invites retribution with her bawdy brand of humor. And, personally, I think it's funny.

But Griffin recently disclosed something that was no laughing matter in her new book, "Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin," in which she talks about her body issues that led to a liposuction procedure that went horribly awry. There's a photo of the result which Griffin says she included in the book to alert women to the fact that "... when you get liposuction, trying to be Jennifer Aniston, this is what it really looks like."

Lest you think the cautionary tale ends with a heartfelt realization that true beauty comes from within, Griffin still knows that funny plays. Has she found inner peace with her looks? "I am always going to want to be Jennifer Aniston," she writes.

Yeah, maybe, but it's a good thing you're not. And the candid admission couched as a warning to other women is what gets you on our A-List.
